( Irna ) - Representative of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Larijani, said on Tuesday that there is no obstacle in resumption of full diplomatic ties between Iran and Egypt.

During the meeting, the two discussed major developments in bilateral, regional and international relations.

Tehran and Cairo share "identical views" regarding issues of mutual interest, Larijani told reporters.

Larijani, the Leader's Representative at the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), who arrived in Cairo on December 24, 2007, added that he had held "constructive" talks with a number of Egyptian officials.

He said he would brief Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on his meetings and discussions with Egyptian officials after returning to Tehran.

The Arab League Secretary General Amr Moussa, head of Egypt's national security organization, Omar Sulayman, Grand Sheikh of Al-Az'har University Muhammad al-Tantawi and head of the Al-Az'har University Ahmad Tayyeb, were among Egyptian officials who met with Larijani.
