Azerbaijan, Baku, 11 July / Trend corr T.Abbasov/ Iran's Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari voiced his attitude towards recent statement by the head of Total oil company Christophe de Margerie. "We have several times stated if someone wants to make investments in Iran, he can do it, and if someone does not want, we won't insist. We can fulfil our plans by ourselves," Iran's news agency Iribnews quoted Nozari.
"The issue must be studied, because during our recent meeting in Madrid de Margerie insisted on investing in Iran and other potential countries in order to ensure further production security," Nozari added.
Head of French company Total Christophe de Margerie said on 9 July to Financial Times that the company would not any more invest in Iran due to dangerous political situation in the country.
