Iranian Ambassador to Afghanistan Feda Hussein Maliki did not comment on whether Tehran will take part in a conference on Afghanistan in the Netherlands on March 31.
Afghan Foreign Minister Rangin Dadfar Spanta has announced that improving ties between Iran and West will benefit Afghanistan.
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton invited Iran to take part in the conference in Netherlands on March 31. The conference will be dedicated to the stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hassan Geshgavi said he will attend the conference. He later denied the statement.
