Noori Petrochemical Complex quarterly sales hit $470m

Iran's Noori (Borzuyeh) Petrochemical Complex supplied some $470 million worth of aromatics to domestic and foreign markets in the 3-month period ended June 21, 2009, the complex's managing director said here on Saturday.

The Mehr News Agency quoted Hamidreza Rostami as saying that the complex produced 820,000 tons of aromatics in the mentioned period.

"Noori Petrochemical Complex's output hit 2.5 million tons worth $2 billion in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2009)," he said.  

Located in Assaluyeh, southern Iran, Noori is the world's largest aromatics producing complex with the capacity of producing 4.5 million tons of petrochemicals including benzene, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), raffinate, heavy ends, heave aromatics, orthoxylene, paraxylene, and light ends.
