Iran arrests 13 over Kurdistan killings
Iran says it has arrested 13 members of a terrorist group involved in the assassination of two Sunni religious figures in western Iran last year, Press TV reported.
The Iranian Intelligence Ministry said in a Sunday statement that they were arrested during the week in several provinces across Iran.
The statement said the group was responsible for several acts of terror, including the assassination of Mamousta Sheikholeslam, who represented the Iranian province of Kurdistan at the Assembly of Experts, and Sanandaj's interim Friday prayer leader Borhan Ali, both of whom were killed last year.
Iranian security forces arrested 14 members of the terrorist group in September last year.
