Defense Minister: Iran advises enemies not to escalate atmosphere in region
Iran advises its enemies not to escalate the atmosphere in the region, not to create chaos, Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, said in response to the statement by the U.S. Congress, the Iranian television IRINN said.
"Enemies, pursuing their own goals, create a war atmosphere in the region and exert psychological pressure", he said.
He added that Iranian armed forces carry out various military exercises, increasing their power, and noted the high level of military equipment and morale of the Iranian army, which could repel any attack.
Representatives of the Republican Party in the U.S. House of Representatives introduced measures that would give the green light to the Israeli bombing against Iran.
The resolution 1553, which provides direct support for military strikes on Iran, says that the Congress supports Israel's use of all necessary means against Iran, including the use of military force.
