The head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi will visit Vienna next week to attend the annual general conference of IAEA member-states, to be held on September 22-24, the organization's representative Mehrali Shirzadian was quoted by Mehr news agency as saying.
He said that Salehi will speak at the conference.
The General Conference, composed of all member-states, is convened once a year to review the report of the Governing Council over the previous year, accounting claims, a program and budget, as well as approval of any application for membership in the Agency among other issues.
During its regular annual session, the Conference holds a general discussion on key activities and the IAEA program. It examines various issues presented by the board, CEO and some member-states.
