Mottaki arrives in Ghana for promoting ties

Iran Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki arrived in Ghana on Friday to discuss bilateral talks, ILNA reported.

Heading a delegation Mottaki welcomed by Ghana's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni, IRNA reported.
Mottaki is scheduled to meet and confer with his Ghana counterpart, president and certain officials of the country.

Mottaki arrived in this African country on the second leg of his tour of Africa which already took him to Burkina Faso.

Previously, Iranian Foreign Minister stressed cooperation with African countries is Iran top priority on foreign-policy area.

Speaking at a meeting with Burkina Faso's President Blaise Compaore in the capital Ouagadougou on Thursday, the Iranian official underscored the two countries' willingness to enhance ties after several economic and trade agreements were signed by the two officials

Mottaki also called for the activation of joint trade and economic commissions and expansion of cooperation on a variety of areas such as trade, agriculture, mining, energy, culture and science.
