Bolivia has no plans for joint uranium exploitation and exploration projects with Iran, although the two countries have agreed to build a nuclear plant in the country, Xinhua quoted Bolivian Economy Minister Luis Arce as saying on Monday. He refuted the information that his country is beginning to implement joint projects with Iran on uranium exploration.
"The uranium issue is not on the agenda, neither in any agreements," he said.
Arce said although Bolivia has entered into an agreement with Iran on the development of fields, they are not connected with the uranium production.
He expressed regret that some politicians from the opposition and the media try to present the Bolivia- Iran relations as a threat to the world.
