Foreign states must leave Iraq soon: Salehi
Foreign states must leave Iraq as soon as possible, Caretaker of Iran's Foreign Ministry Ali-Akbar Salehi said Wednesday in Baghdad, IRNA reported.
The Iranian official arrived here earlier Wednesday morning on a day-long visit to felicitate the people and government of the country on the formation of Iraq's new government and for promotion of bilateral relations.
'Iran believed in Iraq's territorial integrity, stability and independence,' Salehi said in a joint press conference with Irqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
He stressed that Iraq could guarantee its independence and territorial integrity without presence of foreign forces.
