Iran has established a committee to investigate the case of kidnapping of Iranian Ex-Deputy National Defense Minister Ali Rza Askeri, Iran's Acting Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi was quoted as saying by the Iranian news agency MEHR.
During the meeting with Askeri's family, Salehi said the Foreign Ministry has new documents that will be used in the investigation.
He reiterated that Askeri was abducted by the Israeli Security Forces.
Askeri disappeared during his visit to Istanbul in December 2006. Iran claims that he was kidnapped by the Israeli agents and transferred to a prison in Israel.
