Iranian acting Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi called for foreign parties to seize opportunities on Iran's nuclear issue, ISNA reported.

In a meeting with Swiss Deputy Foreign Minister Peter Maurer, Salehi said Iran's invitation of foreign countries to its nuclear sites shows its "goodwill" and transparent nuclear policy as he called for foreign sides to use the opportunities.

"Foreign parties should know that pressures on brave and independent Iranian nation will go nowhere and they should learn lesson from the past," Salehi added.

Peter Maurer on his part called for expansion of bilateral ties on economic, cultural and scientific fields as well as religious areas.

He added presence of a delegation of Swiss bishops in Tehran shows their interests in close mutual religious relations.

Swiss Deputy Foreign Minister also met with Iranian Deputy Secretary of Supreme National Security Council Ali Bagheri, where the Iranian side said, "talks for cooperation to find shared points is the only way for some powers to get rid of the current deadlocks."

"Time is ripe for some powers to acknowledge their failure in dual-track approach and follow a logical attitude through interaction and cooperation," Bagheri added.

Peter Maurer on his part voiced hope the next round of negotiation between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany in Istanbul late January could pave the way for interaction and mutual cooperation.

Bagheri is to head to China on Wednesday on the verge of Istanbul talks to meet with Chinese authorities.

Iranian ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asghar Soltanieh has already said ambassadors and representatives of the agency member states are to tour the country's nuclear sites on January 15-16.

Soltanieh has sent letters to ambassadors and directors of IAEA-linked political and geographical institutions in Vienna inviting them to visit Natanz nuclear site and Arak heavy water reactor.

"The tour comes on January 15-16," Soltanieh said adding that the delegates are to meet with Iranian officials as well.

A same visit came in 2006 from the Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) in central Iranian city of Isfahan by the ambassadors to Vienna.
