President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called on the university professors on Thursday to adopt a new strategy for discouraging exodus of the academic elite from the country, IRNA reported.
During his 84th provincial tour to Yazd, President Ahmadinejad noted that since the highest "academic peaks are to be sought overseas, it is quite natural for elite who achieved the highest academic goals to migrate from Iran."
"The only way for benefiting from the elite is to see that our university professors are at the highest academic peak," he added.
He said that Yazd province has high potentials for attracting the academic elite and prevent brain drain.
"Believing in God is the first prerequisite for moving ahead and making progress. If there is no consensus among people, their relentless efforts will not change anything," the President added.
