Official: West should substitute cooperation for confrontation

Head of Presidential Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei  said on Friday evening that western countries, in their negotiations with Iran on nuclear issues, should substitute cooperation for confrontation, IRNA reported.

On the sideline of the seminar dubbed as 'Human Rights and Terrorism Victims Families' Esfandiar Rahim Mashaei said, 'We think that western countries, after holding many negotiations with Iran, should have reached the conclusion that they should take the way of cooperation.'

By expressing hope for Istanbul talks results, he said, 'In the new situation, the other side of negotiation has reached the conclusion that Iran has achieved nuclear technology with its local science.'

He said propaganda on Iran's deviation from peaceful nuclear activities is totally a political publicity, adding that the western countries were trying to prevent Iran from access to such ability, but 'we achieved this success with our resistance'.

Rahim Mashaei stressed that now the whole world knows that Iran has achieved peaceful nuclear technology, so western countries policies in direction of preventing Iran from this technology would be meaningless.

In this situation, wisdom says that the new situation of Iran should be understood
