In a decree issued on Sunday Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei appointed Brigadier General Farzad Esmaeili as new commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbia Anti-Aircraft Base.
"With the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Army commander and in the light of commitment and qualification I appoint you as commander of the Khatam-ol-Anbia Anti-Aircraft Base," part of the decree reads.
The post was previously held by Brigadier General Ahmad Miqani, MNA reported.
