A delegation of Iranian officials declared their support for the Palestinian right of return Sunday during a visit to the Lebanese border with Israel marking the 44th anniversary of the 1967 Six-Day War, The Jerusalem Post reported with reference to Lebanese newspaper the Daily Star.
The delegation, led by the head of Iran's culture committee, stressed that through resistance Palestinians would one day see themselves returning to their "homes" within Israeli territory. The group raised a Palestinian flag at "Iran's Garden" in Kfar Kila.
The Iranian delegation visited different Arab villages on the border, as well as Maroun al-Ras, the site where eleven Palestinians were killed by IDF fire during Nakba Day demonstrations, the Daily Star said.
