Iran unveiled brain-nerve smart surgical system in presence of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Thursday, ISNA reported.
The domestically-built system could be applied for surgery of ear, pharynx, nose as well as brain and nervous system.
The system has used the most advanced and up-dated technologies both in hardware and software sections and observing microscopic and endoscopic images.
The smart surgery system was unveiled in Tehran Medical Science University in a ceremony led by Ahmadinejad.
The system is regarded as one of the super-modern technologies in medical treatment especially for its application of modern display and analysis techniques obtained from CT Scan and MRI images.
It also provides surgeons with precise detection systems for diagnosis and treatment.
The system assists surgery teams to match the previous and present state of patients in a more meticulous and convenient way.
The system has been developed and built by the center of medical tools and equipment in the university.
