Int'l Conference on Terrorism opens today in Tehran
An international conference on terrorism will open in Tehran on Saturday, Iran Daily reported with reference to IRNA.
Presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers, heads of organizations created to counter terror and experts from several countries will attend.
Most neighboring states have voiced preparedness to attend at the highest level.
This in fact shows the increasing concerns of countries about terrorism and their willingness to actively participate in effective moves against the international scourge.
Presidents of Iraq, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan are among the heads of state to attend the two-day meeting.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will open the conference.
Leaders and officials from several states will make their views about terrorism and was to effectively combat it.
Two roundtables on the 'Role of International and Regional Organizations in fighting Terrorism' and 'Vision of Divine Religions in Fighting Terrorism' will be held during the event.
