Currently 50 to 70 percent of Iran's population is overweight, and 10 to 20 percent has been diagnosed with diabetes, IRIB reported, quoting Dr. Fereydoun Azizi, head of the international congress of endocrinology and metabolism.
"While diabetes and obesity is common in big cities, many cases of diabetes are also reported throughout provinces", he said.
Due to bad nutrition habits and hereditary factors, 4 million Iranian are diagnosed with Diabetes.
