Referring to the importance and position of Iran and India in the region and the world, Salehi told the Indian diplomat that certain common stances on regional and global issues as well as historical and cultural affinities provide a highly suitable ground for expansion of mutual cooperation.
He said the potential and capacities of Iran and India are in favor of expansion of complementary ties between the two sides, IRNA reported.
The Indian ambassador for his part said his country is ready for expansion of relations and cooperation with Iran in the political, economic and trade fields.
