Iran says new EU sanctions "incorrect decision"
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast called the EU recent sanctions against the country an "incorrect decision", ISNA reported.
Mehmanparast who is in Russia leading a delegation said, "The issue of sanctions against Iran under the allegation of human rights breach and Iranian peaceful nuclear work is an incorrect measure which aims to press Iranian nation to withdraw its basic goals."
The European Union has expanded sanctions against Iran accusing the country of human rights abuses.
A meeting of EU foreign ministers added 29 Iranian officials to the list of people facing a visa ban and asset freeze.
