Iran will undoubtedly gain victory in all wars unleashed against it by any hostile country, IRNA quoted Commander of the Army's Ground Forces Brigadier-General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan as saying on Tuesday.

Pourdastan made the remarks at the meeting with militants in the Kirmanshah Province.

He underscored the highest level of the combat readiness of all Iranian armed forces and their constituent units and formations including the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, Basij, police and border services.

Furthermore, Iran obtains the world's most advanced military technologies and equipment, Pourdastan said.

He noted that the U.S. is giving up its positions in the region since the number of American militants' suicides and displeasure of the regional countries grow.

"The United States are being sucked into a quagmire and unable to start a new war," Pourdastan said.

Iran, as the safest country in the region, does not feel any threats, he added.

On Monday, Mike Rogers, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee said military force should not be ruled out as a response to an Iranian assassination plot on US soil.

Last week, the U.S. authorities said they had broken up plans by two men linked to Iranian Quds Force - a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) - to assassinate Saudi Ambassador to Washington Adel al-Jubeir.

U.S. Attorney-General Eric Holder said the plot was masterminded, sponsored and directed from Iran, but declined to disclose details of the conspiracy and confirm that it was approved and ordered directly by Iranian authorities.

Iran denies the allegations saying the U.S. uses this tactic to slander again Iran. The IRGC also rejected any involvement of the Quds force in the plot alleged by the United States.
