The Arab League Declaration to suspend Syrian membership in the organization would make the country's situation more implicated, ISNA quoted Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as saying on Monday.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran stresses attention to developments of different regional countries, avoiding any dual-track policy and prevention of foreign interference. It believes the Arab League Declaration on Syria not only will not help settlement of the issue, but also makes the situation more complicated," he said.
Mehmanparast called for appropriate measures in line with peace and stability and holding talks to resolve the issue.
The Cairo-based Arab League had decided on Saturday to suspend Syria's membership, effective 16 November.
