Head of National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Iranian Parliament Allaeddin Boroujerdi termed as baseless the US allegations pertaining "Iran's alleged involvement in an assassination plot to kill the Saudi ambassador to US Adel al-Jubeir', IRNA reported.

Boroujerdi made the above remarks in an exclusive interview with IRNA and after a meeting with Turkey's Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek in Ankara on Thursday.

He said that he delivered the written message of Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani to his Turkish counterpart and that Larijani will pay a visit to Turkey soon.

"A series of plots by the US underway in the region, US' baseless allegations against Islamic Republic of Iran, and the funny assassination plot of Saudi ambassador to the US were discussed in detail in my meeting with Turkish Parliament Speaker Cemil Cicek," Boroujerdi added.

He pointed out that Iran and Turkey have favorable economic and trade ties.

"The volume of trade transactions between Tehran and Ankara will reach $15 billion by the end of 2011," Boroujerdi added.

He pointed out that future of Iran-Turkey ties is bright and the Iranian Parliament fully supports the government's policies on Turkey.
