The United States was using the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) as tools to exercise animosity against Iran, IRNA quoted Iranian Ambassador to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaee as saying on Saturday.
Criticizing the US hostile policies against Iran, he told IRNA at the sidelines of the Security Council meeting that the US manipulation of certain countries and international bodies to achieve its objectives has turned to its routine habit.
Khazaee urged the regional states not to be deceived by American schemes and plots, stressing that experience has already proved that countries which move in line with the White House plots will be ultimately rejected by Washington.
Commenting on Iran's regional policies, he reiterated that Iran's relation with its neighbors is based on mutual trust and peaceful coexistence.
Referring to the US failure in absorbing votes of countries against Iran in the IAEA, he said that Washington having been rejected by countries in the IAEA meeting, took another foolish step in the UN Security Council and met the same destiny once again.
