Speaker: Iranian parliament to revise relations with EU

The Iranian parliament will revise relations with the European Union, the Mehr News Agency quoted Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Ali Larijani as saying on Tuesday.

"The EU thinks that the new restrictions on Iran will remain unreciprocated," Larijani said. "No new incident or fact could provoke the new restrictive measures."

He further said a genuine reason for the new EU resolution is the recent developments in the region.

"The United States and the UK as arrogant powers demonstrate political insistence for Iran's isolation," Larijani said.

The U.S., Britain and Canada announced new sanctions targeting Iran's banks and oil industry on Monday.

The resolution followed IAEA General Director's Yukiya Amano report, issued on November 8, which reads that the "information indicates Iran has carried out activities relevant to the development of nuclear explosive devices."
