Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov. 25 / Trend D.Khatinoglu/
Iran has completed drilling all of 24 oil wells at South Pars' Phases 9 and 10, Pana News reported.
The South Pars' Phases 9 and 10 is ready to operate with full capacity aimed at producing 50 million cubic metres of sour gas per. During past two years the 13 wells in Phases 9 and 10 have been operated with 25 million cubic metres of total gas production capacity. The other wells are ready to become operational in near future.
By completion of the South Pars gas field phases 9 and 10, nearly 50 million cubic metres of sweet gas will be injected into the fourth and sixth Iran's gas trunk lines to be used by the domestic and industrial sectors.
Iran aims to produce 50 million cubic metres of sour gas, to extract 80,000 barrels of gas condensate, plus 400 tons of sulphur each day from these phases. Annual production of one million tons of ethane as feedstock for petrochemical use and 1.050 million tons of LPG for export are among the other development targets of phases of 9 and 10.
The South Pars gas field is shared by Iran and Qatar. The Iranian share, which is divided into 29 phases, has about 14 trillion cubic metres of gas, or about eight per cent of the total world reserves and more than 18 billion barrels of liquefied natural gas resources.
