Passive defense can thwart enemy’s plots - Iran's intelligence minister

Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi has said that the enemy has devised plots to undermine Iranian industrial organizations at this critical juncture, but passive defense can thwart these plots, MNA reported.

He made the remarks in an address to the 4th National Seminar on the Basij and Passive Defense, which was held in Tehran on Monday.

Although passive defense is complementary to active defense, it is regarded as one of the most peaceful and reasonable defense techniques, he said.

Enemies have devised 8 anti-Iran plots

Commenting on the Islamic awakening sweeping across the region, he said that the enemies of the Islamic Revolution have devised eight elaborate anti-Iran scenarios meant to entangle Iran and allow them to dominate the region.

"Of course, they have succeeded in some cases and have failed in other cases," he added.
