The United States have to bring their apologies to Iran for its illegal actions, deputy head of Iran's Armed Forces Joint Chiefs of Staff Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said, Mehr Agency reported.

Brigadier General made this statement commenting on the incident concerning the U.S. drone that was captured by the Iranian Armed Forces last week.

"Next time, Iran will not react just on its internal borders, but beyond them as well" he warned.

Earlier, the Iranian ambassador to the United Nations Mohammad Khazaii called on the UN to condemn U.S. aggressive moves against the Islamic Republic including the recent violation of Iranian airspace by a U.S. spy drone and adopt "clear and effective measures" to end such "dangerous and unlawful acts".

On Thursday Iranian Iranian state broadcaster released the first images of the highly advanced US stealth spy drone which was downed through a cyber attack by Iranian military forces last week as it was flying over the country's airspace.

The Islamic Republic of Iran protested the "violation of Iran's airspace by a U.S. spy drone on Dec. 4," the day Iranian forces claimed to have shot down the aircraft, 140 miles inside the Iranian border from Afghanistan.
