Ahmadinejad condemns terrorist acts in Afghanistan
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a message on Saturday extending his condolences to his Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai for the recent terrorist attacks in the country, Mehr reported.
He also expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and the Afghan people.
On Ashura day, which fell on November 6, at least 54 Afghans lost their lives in two separate bomb attacks in the Afghan cities of Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif when Muslims were mourning.
Ashura day is the tenth day of Muharram upon which Imam Hussein was martyred.
