The Iranian Embassy in Damascus has issued a message on Wednesday, denying information that Iran has invited the leaders of the Syrian opposition for talks in Tehran, Mehr reports.
"Iran has never been intended to hold talks with the Syrian opposition. Even if Tehran will conduct a meeting with the opposition, it will be done with the consent of the official Damascus," the embassy reported.
It was reported by foreign media earlier that Iran has invited the Syrian opposition to Tehran for talks.
