Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami said on Monday that reformists would not boycott the parliamentary elections, which will be held on March 12, 2012, Mehr reported.

Former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami said on Monday that reformists would not boycott the parliamentary elections, which will be held on March 12, 2012, Mehr reported.

He said, "Reformists cannot and should not have candidates or a list (of candidates) for the elections, but it does not mean the boycott of the elections."

Mohammad Mousavi Khoeiniha, the secretary general of the Association of Combatant Clerics, also said on Monday that reformists have decided not to release a list of candidates for the elections.
