Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said US recent allegations against Iran on Tehran's interference in 9/11 attacks and presence of an al-Qaeda member in Iran are 'totally baseless', IRNA reported.
According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Saturday, Mehmanparast said that the US government, by repeating such fake claims in direction of its illegitimate political goals, is threatening international peace and security.
'History of establishment of al-Qaeda and the US support for the group is known and clear to everyone,' said the spokesman.
'We believe that the world should consider the consequences of such irresponsible behavior of the US officials and be aware of its results; it is also necessary that the world declare its deep concerns to the US government,' he added.
