Iran will have sent 2,000 nurses to Turkey by the end of this year (Iran's solar year ends in March)the website Iranian diplomacy reports the chairman of the Association for International Employment as saying.

This will bring the total number of Iranians sent to Turkey this year for work to 7,000, said Mehrdad Ayoubi.

There have been problems with Iran's training standards as workers are sent abroad but Iran's Technical and Vocational Training Organization has taken steps to address some of these issues, said Mr. Ayoubi.

Being unfamiliar with new fields of work and language are two problems Iranian workers going abroad have.

The latest figures issued by Iran's Statistics Center put its unemployment rate at 11.1 percent.
