An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale took place in the Iranian province of Mazandaran in the south coast of the Caspian Sea this morning, Mehr news agency reported today.
According to the Seismological Centre at Tehran University's Geophysics Institute, the earthquake took place at 07:21 local time.
There is no information about damage and casualties as a result of the earthquake.
