Iran plans to boost arms exports

The Iranian Defense Ministry has developed extensive plans to increase exports of arms to the friendly and neighboring countries in the next calendar year, the deputy defense minister Majid Bokaii stated.
Majid Bokaii told Fars news agency that exports of arms is seriously followed by the ministry.
One of Iran's strategic policies is to strengthen the Lebanese army, Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Vahidi stated during a meeting with Lebanese Minister of National Defense Fayez Ghosn in Tehran on February 27.
Iran's principled policy is to promote the convergence of regional countries, enhance security and stability in the region, and oppose any infringement on the rights of the world nations, Vahidi said.
On March 2007, the UN Security Council passed resolution 1747, which imposes an arms embargo and expanded the freeze on Iranian assets.
