Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and Africa Affairs Amir Abdollahian rejected as baseless the recent statements by Yemeni Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qerabi concerning Iran's alleged interference in Yemen's internal affairs, IRNA reported.

'International Community is witnessing constant protests by Yemeni people due to interference of some western countries in their internal affairs,' the diplomat said in Tehran on Thursday.

He noted that Yemen's foreign minister should focus on people's demands rather than dealing with machinations.

' Islamic Republic of Iran, while supporting legitimate demands of the Muslim people of Yemen, considers holding national dialogue as the best diplomatic solution for coming out of the present situation,' Amir Abdollahian added.

He pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Iran has always supported the interests of the regional countries, their security and stability.

'We are sure that the Muslim nation of Yemen, their scholars and all political groups protect their revolution with full vigilance. They will not allow the enemies to interfere in their internal affairs,' the diplomat further added.
