Iranian Vice-President Mohammad Javad Mohammadizadeh met Chinese Deputy Prime Minister Li Ke Chian on Sunday, IRNA reported.

Iran and China discussed bilateral relations, regional and international issues during the meeting in China, held in the presence of Iran's Ambassador to China Mehdi Safari.

Mohammadizadeh called the outcome of the negotiations "very useful and desirable", IRNA reported.

"We hope Iran-China trade turnover will exceed $50 billion by late the year," he said.

Iran and China's trade turnover reached $45 billion in 2011.

Mohammadizadeh said that Iranian-Chinese relations expand in all spheres despite international challenges (sanctions against Iran's nuclear program).

The United States have alarmed Iran's oil buyers that may be slapped by American sanctions, calling them decrease purchase of Iranian oil. China rejected President Barack Obama's decision to move forward with plans for sanctions on countries buying oil from Iran, saying Saturday that Washington has no right to unilaterally punish other nations.
