The national budget bill of Iran for the current calendar year may seea $12 billion deficit as a result of the difference between the real oil output and the figure which has been set at the budget.

Iran's crude oil output has been estimated at 4.1 million barrels per day (mbpd) in the current year's national budget bill, while the real figure is around 3.7mbpd. Considering the oil price is set at $85 per barrel, it is concluded that the budget bill will face a $12.4 billion deficit, according to Fars news agency.

The industry committee of the Iranian parliament (Majlis) has approved an $85 oil price in drafting the current year's budget bill, Fars news agency reported.

Ali-Asghar Yousefnejad, a member of the committee, said that after explanations from the oil minister at the committee's joint meeting, the oil price was set at $85 in the budget bill.

The previous year's budget bill has been prepared based on $81.5 oil price.
