Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi will undertake a two-day visit to New Delhi from May 30 to hand over an invitation to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to attend NAM Summit to be held in Tehran in August.
Salehi will come as a special envoy of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to hand over to Singh a personal invitation to attend the NAM Summit, India's Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai told media persons, IRNA reported.
Salehi will meet External Affairs Minister S M Krishna a day before his meeting with the Prime Minister.
Ahmadinejad had spoken to Singh on phone last week saying he is sending Salehi as his special envoy to invite him to attend the NAM Summit.
The NAM Summit will be held in Tehran from August 26-31.
