Iranian FM arrives in Ankara to discuss pilgrims kidnap in Syria

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi arrived in Ankara Tuesday afternoon to confer with the Turkish officials on the case of 48 Iranian pilgrims kidnapped in Syria, IRNA reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi arrived in Ankara Tuesday afternoon to confer with the Turkish officials on the case of 48 Iranian pilgrims kidnapped in Syria, IRNA reported.

At the airport, Salehi was welcomed by Turkish officials and Iranian Ambassador to Ankara Bahman Hosseinpour.

During his short-term visit, Salehi is to confer with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu seeking his mediation to help secure release of the kidnapped Iranian pilgrims.

Rebel Free Syrian Army claimed kidnapping of 48 Iranian pilgrims and Salehi has come to Ankara to seek help from the Turkish officials to release the pilgrims.
