A new tremor measuring 5.3 on Richter scale which jolted Varzagan on Tuesday afternoon blocked road between Varzagan and Ahar, IRNA reported.
According to the report of seismography center affiliated to Tehran University Geophysics institute, the tremor occurred at 18:32 hours local time ( 15:02 hours GMT) and its epicenter was at 38.45 degrees latitude and 46.79 degrees longitude.
The tremor destroyed a bridge in Varzagan city which connects two cities of Ahar and Varzagan.
According to the report of Red Crescent Society, four people have been injured in the city of Varzagan but there is no immediate reports from surrounding villages.
Two strong earthquake measuring 6.2 and 6.0 Richter jolted cities of Ahar, Varzagan and Harris in East Azerbaijan province on Saturday afternoon.
The three cities have population of 150, 50 and 62 thousand respectively and are located in 116, 97 and 110 kilometers from Tabriz ( capital of the province).
Around 300 people have died and more than 2,000 have been injured in the area so far.
