Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met here with his Tunisian and Bangladeshi counterparts on the sidelines of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on Thursday, IRNA reported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi met here with his Tunisian and Bangladeshi counterparts on the sidelines of the 16th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on Thursday, IRNA reported.

During his meeting with Tunisian Foreign Minister termed the successful experience of holding NAM Summit in Tehran which was attended by majority of leaders of NAM member-states a important.

Salehi said that NAM Summit was in line with the attention paid by NAM member-states to principles of the movement, particularly under the current political conditions of the world.

He also talked about the necessity for expansion of bilateral ties and emphasizing a behavior based on moderation among Muslims, as well as avoiding extremism.

The Tunisian foreign minister for his part congratulated Iran for becoming the rotating chair of NAM while highlighting the importance of the movement on international political equations, especially the high importance of the issue of Palestine for NAM and fulfilling the rights of Palestinians.

During a meeting with his Bangladeshi counterpart, Salehi reviewed the bilateral ties, especially in the economic field, mutual cooperation in international organizations.
