Iran's Central Bank Governor Mahmoud Bahmani has said dollar price will be decreased to 15,000 rials within the next few days.

Contrary to some economic experts who had predicted a rising trend for dollar price to reach 30,000 rials, he said that dollar and gold prices will fall in coming days, the ILNA news agency reported.

U.S. dollar was sold at 21,670 rials in Iran's unofficial market on Sunday.

Iran's central bank allowed trading in its currency at market levels after fixing the exchange rate in January as the threat of sanctions over the country's nuclear program and economic risks spurred Iranians to buy up dollars.

The bank fixed the rate at 12,260 on January 26 after the U.S. dollar surged to almost double that level in unofficial currency markets.
