Exports from Iran’s Aras Free Zone hit $73 million

Some $73 million worth of goods has been exported from Iran’s Aras Free Zone (AFZ) during the first five months of the current Iranian year, which began on March 20, showing a 58 per cent rise over the same period in last year

Some $73 million worth of goods has been exported from Iran's Aras Free Zone (AFZ) during the first five months of the current Iranian year, which began on March 20, showing a 58 per cent rise over the same period in last year.

Exports amounted to 70,000 tons in weight, showing a 60 per cent growth year on year, the IRNA news agency quoted AFZ organisation's managing director as saying.

Sadeq Najafi added that the goods have been exported to Germany, Georgia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, and the UAE.

Trucks, furniture, copper ingots, gasoline, diesel oil, kitchen equipment, carpets, and motorcycles were among the exported goods.
