A rapist found guilty of a variety of crimes has been publicly executed in a square in Tehran this morning, Fars agency said today.
Sadiq Muradi nicknamed as the 'Black Scorpion' was arrested in 2008 after attempting to abduct a woman in Tehran. However, the investigation revealed that he was guilty of more than 30 rape cases and attempted rape, as well as robbing their victims. In 2009, he was sentenced to death, but the death penalty was replaced by imprisonment.
After the media and the victims appealed, the rapist's sentence was reconsidered. He was finally sentenced to be hanged.
