Exports via Iran's southeastern Milak border up 57 percent

Over 25,000 tons of goods were exported via Iran's southeastern Milak border, showing a 57 percent rise compared to the year before.

The goods were exported during the first five months of the current calendar year, which began on March 20, the Mehr news agency reported.

Iran will set up 27 terminals at border areas to ease land transportation, an official with the Land Transportation Organization of Iran said.

Reza Nafisi told the IRNA News Agency that 10 border terminals have already been established and 17 other terminals will be set up by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2013).

The total value of Iran's imports and exports during the first five months of the current year amounted to $37.6 billion.
