IRI Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi on Monday offered the Cairo Quartet meeting Iran's proposed roadmap for Syria crisis, IRNA reported.

Salehi proposed cessation of clashes and violence simultaneously by the belligerent parties in Syria, peaceful settlement of crisis without foreign intervention, and halting any kind of financial, military and educational support to Damascus government dissidents.

The Iranian Foreign Minister also called for start of dialogue between Syrian government and the dissidents as well as formation of the National Reconciliation Committee with participation of wings and groups.

He also proposed dispatch of supervisors from four countries to oversee stop of violence and holding talks, stressing national unity and territorial integrity of Syria and helping drastic reforms and materialization of democracy with Syria being the axis.

It should be noted that the representatives of Saudi Arabia were absent at the Quartet meeting.
