Iranian Naval Forces today held special mining exercises in the Caspian Sea, Mehr reported.
The exercises were held in presence of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in Iran's city of Noshahr.
Aside from mining exercises, the exercises also included tasks on protecting borders and waters of the country, as well as hypothetical destruction of small boats via air strikes.
The mine-installing exercises in the Caspian Sea came right after the mine-clearing exercises in the Persian Gulf, which included the participation of 30 countries, including the United States.
