Iran Custom and Oil Ministry and Petrochemical Special Economic Zone's officials held a conference about launching the country's first special oil crude custom, the IRIB reported.

According to the Iran Custom public relations report, Ali Yazdani, managing director of the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PETZONE) underlined during the meeting that PETZONE is completely ready to help launch crude custom, saying this special product would lead to development and economic progress in both the region and Iran's oil industry.

The conference was held at Imam Khomeini Port on Thursday.

Sadri Ofogheh the general director of manufacturing, support and procurement Kala Naft Company said that shortening the bureaucratic procedures and clearance of oil cargoes are the main goals of launching special oil custom.

The memorandum of commissioning a special crude oil custom was previously signed between Iran's oil ministry and Iran Custom.

According to a signed MoU, the special oil custom should be launched in Tehran, Bandar Abbas, Imam Khomeini and Asalouyeh. Iran has launched two special customs for iron and steel exporters, Zob Ahan and Mobarakeh Steel in Esfahan city.
